The Yarmouth Summer Celebration is about to start up in just a week or so!
This is the fifth year of the Yarmouth Summer Celebration Kick-Off, and they’ll have all of your favorite events from years past plus some new ones for even more fun. They will start it off with a bang with a spectacular Fireworks display and a busy weekend commemorating the new playground opening in Yarmouthport on Saturday, and a jam-packed day of beach activities on our first #SundayFunday!

Sounds like a ton of fun right?? We can’t wait to experience it in all it’s glory – during a Cape Cod Summer!
We’ve had a long hard winter around these parts, haven’t we? Thinking about the beach, sand castles, the pool, nature walks, bbq, ice cream, s’mores, family, new friends, and most of all tired, dirty, happy kids. My favorite part about summer is just how happy they are to be running about on the beach with no cares except when there next sugar fox will be. Ahhhhhhhhh summer.

April School Vacation at Red Jacket Beach Resort!
4/20/15 – 4/25/15
Last fall the family and I trucked it on up to the White Mountains. We stayed at the Red Jacket Mountain View Resort. We had so much at the Resort and Kahuna Laguna. We also visited nearby Storyland. A really great weekend.
This weekend we’re headed south, to the Cape and The Red Jacket Resort in South Yarmouth. We are looking forward to April Adventures Family Week at “The Beach”.
There we will be a myriad of activities for all ages. The popular Kids’ Klub will be in session all week and Markus and Angelique Steelgrave will be there to add more than a touch of magic to vacation days. Plus kite making, “Paint & Wine” nights, X Box One tournaments, culinary demonstrations, martini samplings, s’more nights at the beach campfire, movies on the big screen, an in-house caricaturist, and much more. And, while the kids are being entertained, the Otis Cole Aveda Exclusive Spa is available to pamper ME with special value treatments.

A typical day would could look like this:
Saturday, April 18
7:30 – 11:00 am Breakfast in Dining Room at leisure.
12:00 – 2:00 pm Luncheon in Asa Eldridge Pub on own.
1:30 – 3:00 pm Kite Fun … decorate and build your own kite. Complimentary materials.
5:00 – 7:00 pm Balloon Magic & Tattoos at the Oceanfront Pavilion
5:30 – 8:30 pm Dinner on own.
7:00 – 9:00 pm “Paint & Wine” at the Oceanfront Pavilion for all ages. “Coketails” for those under 21.
8:00 pm Dive-In Movie on the Big Screen
These activities will continue into the high season – SUMMER. Oh my goodness can we all just talk about how excited we are for summer right now? I am so excited about summer that I am about to head down the Cape and just pretend it’s summer at the Red Jacket Resort. Yep. Doin’ it.

The Nutcracker is the unofficial start of the Boston Christmas season! This year that season starts on Friday November 28th. To me, it’s not Black Friday, it’s opening night of Boston Ballet’s The Nutcracker!
Two years ago my daughter and I were invited to attend the all new Nutcracker at the Opera House. It was truly magical. This year we’ve been invited again and we get to bring some guests. I would love for it to be you!
Mikko Nissinen’s The Nutcracker is based on the libretto by Alexandre Dumas père titled The Tale of the Nutcracker, which is adapted from E. T. A. Hoffmann’s story The Nutcracker and the Mouse King. The story follows the wondrous journey of young Clara, who receives a Nutcracker as a gift at her family’s Christmas Eve party. Later that night, her Nutcracker magically transforms into a handsome prince, who leads her through an enchanted forest and on to the Nutcracker Prince’s Kingdom.
