Elf the Musical – a giveaway

My kids LOVE the movie Elf with Will Ferrell. They are super excited to go see this musical at the Boch Center in Boston.

In case you haven’t been living in the US around the Holidays for the last decade or so and don’t know…“ELF is the hilarious tale of Buddy, a young orphan child who mistakenly crawls into Santa’s bag of gifts and is transported back to the North Pole. Hilarity ensues because he is unaware that he is actually human, Buddy’s enormous size and poor toy-making abilities cause him to face the truth. With Santa’s permission, Buddy embarks on a journey to New York City to find his birth father, discover his true identity, and help New York remember the true meaning of Christmas. This modern day Christmas classic is sure to make everyone embrace their inner ELF.”

And look who’s playing Santa?!

George Wendt as Santa!

Performances of ELF THE MUSICAL are Tuesday, November 28 through Sunday, December 10:
Tuesday through Saturday evenings at 7:00 pm
Sunday evenings at 6:00 pm
matinees on Saturdays at 2:00 pm and Sundays at 1:00 pm

Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer: The Musical – a FLASH Giveaway!

Last year my littles and I went to the see the opening of the brand new musical Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer.

It was SO cute and SO much fun! My kids loved loved it and I thought it did the original TV show much justice. They didn’t try to change it, which I think was my biggest fear. That the producers would try to re- interpret the show. It’s stayed true to the much loved 50 year old classic TV Christmas special. The story, sets, characters, and songs were all familiar. Even the voices were spot on! The crowd of parents delighted when Rudolph squealed “I’m cuuuuuute!” and broke out in applause when the Prospector first bounded on stage! Because it was familiar. We were connecting to it on a memory level. And it ended with a bouncing snow flake sing a long!
I just quoted myself ;-)

It’s really the perfect starter show for kids. It’s not in any way pretentious and you’re out of there in an hour and a half. The performers keep them entertained the whole time!

Wanna go? Tomorrow night? I have a flash giveaway for a Family 4 Pack. Just leave me a comment below.

No widgets or hoops to jump through. Just comment on your memories of the show you watched every year as a kid, or tell me your secret holiday wish?

Winner will be announced at NOON tomorrow. So you gotta be ready to GO!
